Residence as rentier

Residence as an entrepreneur
Minimum investment of $200,000. This residence is difficult to obtain. Investment in the tourism sector: minimum of $100,000.
Residence as a student
This plan gives foreign students a temporary permit to stay in the country.
Residence with labor contract
This plan allows the applicant to obtain a work permit or temporary residence, based on the existence of an employment contract. As a resident you can benefit from social security in Costa Rica; This has been compulsory since March, 2010.
