The transfer of your money to Costa Rica is relatively easy. The best way is bank Swift transfer. It is easy to open an account in Costa Rica. Open a bank account and obtain a visa international debit card.

Costa Rica is: no taxes on capital, no capital gain tax, no inheritance tax, notary fees and registration of transfer of properties are less than 4% . the annual municipal taxes payable on properties are calculated at 0.25% of the registred value. Legalization and proxy
Costa Rica acceded to the Convention of The Hague 1965. For all documents from abroad it is now only necesery to have the apostille from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the country issuing the document. This legislation is the formality by which is confirmed the authenticity of the signature, the capacity in which the person signing the document has acted and, where appropriate, the identity of the seal or stamp which the document bears. Each country has its own specificities we offer to help you in all these steps.
Accounting
A company in Costa Rica is not expensive at all compared to other countries because the minimum share capital is 10,000 colones (20 US$). There is no obligation to do a tax return each year. This obligation exists only if have you commercial acts. Buying and selling land are not considered as commercial acts.
All property must pay a municipal tax. This is not very high but varies on the declared value of the property and where it is located. There is also a tax on properties worth more than $ 200,000. We can help you in all dealings with the tax authorities of municipalities.
Translations
All documents must be translated into Spanish by a certified translator. It is easier and cheaper to do it directly in Costa Rica
